Official: Severstal largest Russian firm with frozen Polish assets
MOSCOW, Apr 6 (PRIME) -- Steel producer Severstal was the largest Russian company whose assets were frozen by Poland, State Secretary Maciej Wasik said on Wednesday.
"Poland has fulfilled the E.U. sanctions and has frozen the assets of Russian oligarchs and entrepreneurs who are on the sanctions list. The largest firm whose assets were frozen was Severstal," Wasik said.
He said that the assets were registered with one of the companies of a holding registered in Latvia, but had a Russian beneficiary in fact.
Poland has frozen a total of about U.S. $33 million assets of Russian companies.
